The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy, marking a significant milestone in the case of the strange death of YS Vivekananda Reddy. Uday Kumar Reddy is the close aide of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy. Uday Kumar Reddy was taken to the guest house of the Kadapa Central Jail by the CBI after being picked up in Pulivendula. The CBI discovered that he was staying at the home of MP Avinash Reddy’s father Bhaskar Reddy. A source from the police force stated that they tracked him down using Google’s TechLayout.
Uday Kumar, the son of Jayaprakash Reddy, works in a nearby uranium mill in Kadapa. According to some allegations and claims, Jayaprakash Reddy did suturing on Viveka’s head, and the CBI questioned Uday Kumar Reddy as a result.
Reliable evidence states that Uday was with MP Avinash Reddy on the day Viveka was killed. According to reports, Uday summoned the physicians, a freezer, and an ambulance. On the other side, the CBI has also detained and is questioning Uday’s father Jayaprakash Reddy separately.
Before this, the case was drastically altered when Uday Kumar Reddy accused CBI agent Ram Singh of wrongdoing in September 2022. Ram Singh allegedly forced Uday to provide a false witness (testimony), according to Uday. He went to the Kadapa Special Mobile Court, which forwarded his case to the neighborhood police. Police charged CBI officer Ram Singh with violating sections 195A, 323, 506, and Red with 34 of the IPC as a result of the accusations.
His arrest of Uday Reddy has become a piece of news fierier now that the Hyderabad division of the CBI is looking into Viveka’s unusual and strange murder. And with the state elections just around the corner, it will be interesting to see how this case affects the politics of the region.
