As per the reports, Ajit Pawar, the state’s deputy chief minister, convened a meeting with all the district collectors and divisional commissioners on Wednesday to discuss the state’s recent severe rains. Additionally, he instructed the administration to be ready to conduct relief and rehabilitation operations on a military footing.
He gave the officials the order to clear the land of encroachment that obstructs the rivers’ and streams’ natural flow and contributes to flooding.
Pawar added that to prevent landslide events. The administration should start surveys to learn more about landslide-prone communities and relocate the residents to safer areas.
Additionally, he declared that the families of those who lost their loved ones in the natural disaster would receive financial assistance of Rs. 4 lacks each and that Panchnama for damage to agricultural products should begin again.
Along with ordering the prompt repair of the roads damaged by the severe rain, Pawar instructed the education department to supply educational materials to the affected schoolchildren. He also gave directions to all Collectors and Divisional Commissioners.
