India helped 180+ Nations during Covid-19 Pandemic. On World Health Day, the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya mentioned that the ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is a part of the heritage of India. The Union Health minister said that the country has successfully fulfilled its duties by helping at least 180 countries. India helped by providing vaccines as well as medicines during the time of rise in Covid-19 cases.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also went to Delhi to Vijay Chowk to participate in a walkathon in order to celebrate the occasion of World Health Day. Along with the Union Health Minister, the other medical staff members as well as paramedical staff members also joined the walk from Vijay Chowk to Nirman Bhawan. India today recorded 6,050 new cases in 24 hours while the active case tally stood at 28,303.

Meeting to discuss plan of action

Union Health Minister Mandaviya also called for a review meeting with the health ministers of all the states on Friday. To discuss actions to take amidst the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. He decided that he would meet with all the health ministers from all the states through video conferencing. In this conference, they would discuss about the upward trend seen in the new Covid-19 cases. On Thursday, India reported 5,300 covid-19 cases with 13 deaths, which is the highest in 195 days (about 6 and a half months), according to Union Health Ministry.

Several states have witnessed a rise in the number of cases. Maharashtra reported a spike of 41 per cent in new infections in just 24 hours on Thursday. Delhi on Thursday reported 606 new Covid-19 cases and 340 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The Health Ministry has advised people to take precautions and wear masks when outdoors.
